Lynch (textiles and apparel/Center for Violence Prevention, U. of Northern Iowa) became acquainted with 'porn chic,' which she defines as including fashions and related trend-based behaviors linked to the porn industry that have become mainstream, through Girls Gone Wild-type Internet images of some females at her campus. 'Raunch eroticism' refers to how sexuality is constructed by the porn industry and how it plays out in popular culture and mass media. As vs. sexual objectification, she presents theoretical arguments on whether the more recent trend of sexual subjectification, in which females of all ages participate in their own objectification, is a step forward or back in women's sexual agency.
