Ts. Dr. Ramani Kannan is Distinguished Associate Professor and Postgraduate Programme Leader in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP), Malaysias No.1 university. He served as Chair of the IEEE Power Electronics Society, Malaysia (20222024), and currently contributes as Member of the IEEE R10 Professional Activities and the Adhoc Committee on Industry Engagement and Round Table. With over 19 years in teaching and academic leadership and 18 years in research, Dr. Ramani is Recognized Expert in power electronics and drives. He holds a bachelor's degree in electronics and communication engineering and earned his masters and Ph.D. in electrical and electronics engineering from ANNA University, India.
He is Chartered Engineer (CEng, UK), Senior Member of IEEE (USA), Member of IET (UK), Certified Professional Technologist (MBOT) and affiliated with BEM, ISTE, IE, and IAES.
Taib Iskandar is Associate Professor at the Mechanical Engineering Department, Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, Malaysia. He previously served at the Mechanical Engineering Technology Department, Yanbu Industrial College, and led the Research Project Unit at Yanbu Research Center, under the Royal Commission of Yanbu - Colleges and Institutes (RCYCI), Saudi Arabia. He also headed RCYCIs Renewable Energy Center and was on the Editorial Board of the Yanbu Journal of Engineering and Science. From 1996 to 2015, Taib was Senior Lecturer at the National University of Malaysia (UKM), where he co-founded the Centre for Automotive Research and served as its Deputy Head. He holds a Ph.D. from Cranfield University (2006), an M.Eng. from Vanderbilt University (1999), and a BSME from the University of Arizona (1996). His research focuses on natural gas engines, direct fuel injection, and advanced combustion strategies such as TCDI, RCCI, and GCI.
