Jack Wanger, MSc, RRT, RPFT has been involved in respiratory therapeutics, pulmonary function testing and pulmonary physiology for over 40 years. Mr. Wanger was previously the Manager and Technical Director of the Pulmonary Physiology Unit at National Jewish Medical and Research Center (now National Jewish Health) in Denver, Colorado. Mr. Wanger joined PRA International, a contract research organization, in 1997 as a clinical research scientist. At PRA, Mr. Wanger has been involved in client consulting, protocol development, pulmonary function testing quality assurance, and preparation of clinical study reports and manuscripts.'Mr. Wanger is a member of the American Thoracic Society (ATS), American College of Chest Physicians (ACCP), and American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC).'He has been appointed to the ATS Committee on Proficiency Standards for Clinical Pulmonary Function Laboratories, and was a member of the ATS and European Respiratory Society (ERS) Task Force which developed the 2005 guidelines on pulmonary function testing.'Mr. Wanger has published numerous peer review articles and is currently the Editor-in-Chief and project coordinator for the American Thoracic Societys Pulmonary Function Laboratory Management and Procedure Manual.'
