This book focuses on the reproductive health needs of adolescents and young adults with health conditions, both chronic and medically complex. As strides have been made in the medical management of chronic and severe health conditions across the world, more medically complex children are surviving and thriving into their reproductive years. Appropriate reproductive health care depends on both reaching adolescents and young adults where they are (both physically and developmentally), as well as understanding the nuances that may be associated with specific medical conditions.
