The Rob Roy Way is one of Scotland's Great Trails. The main route runs for 79 miles (128 km) from Drymen near Glasgow to Pitlochry in the Highlands, and is suited to both walkers and cyclists. The route visits many places linked Scotlands most famous outlaw. It offers superb scenery, castles, forts impressive aqueducts and viaducts, and a 3600-year old stone circle. This map booklet is published to celebrate the 25th birthday of this popular route.

After a long career in education, information technology and academic publishing, Jacquetta became interested in long-distance walking and trekking. After completing the West Highland Way, her first long walk, she founded Rucksack Readers in 2000. With the late John Henderson she devised the Rob Roy Way in 2001 and has been walking and cycling it, on and off, ever since.  She runs the website www.robroyway.com and is the author of its definitive guidebook. She has also funded and managed several waymarking projects for the route over its first 25 years.
