Scamp Saltbrace feels like a misfit. In a family full of sailors, shes scared of the sea. But when an ancient truce between mermaids and sailors is broken, its up to Scamp to fix it. Braving raging oceans full of unknown dangers, guided by a strange tidal clock given to her by her beloved granny, Scamp must find the mermaid queen. Scamps loyal little sister, True, and companions Quinlan and Tails, join her as they discover the sea queens daughter is missing, taken by the wicked smuggler, Victor Marrow. Worse, the tidal clocks powers, if misused, could threaten the entire world. Becca Rogers grew up in rural Devon, an avid reader in a house full of folk music and books. After an English literature degree, she spent many years in London - a fundraising manager by day, writer by night. Now back in Devon, Becca lives by a tidal estuary, where she likes to mudlark, with her husband, two children and her dog, Luna. Her debut novel The Girl with Gills is also published by Zephyr.
