Dr. Julius Goh Liang Chye is an Otorhinolaryngologist and Clinical Lecturer at the University of Malaya (UM) Medical Centre with subspecialty expertise in sleep medicine and surgery. He trained in leading international centres including Stanford University, University of Pennsylvania, Singapore General Hospital, and Kyung Hee University, focusing on sleep surgery and robotic ENT surgery. Dr. Goh is the first Malaysian trained in hypoglossal nerve stimulation for obstructive sleep apnea. He has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals on sleep surgery, airway management, and related innovations, and his research has been supported by competitive grants and recognized with awards. He also holds several medical device patents. As head of the SNORE Team at UM, he integrates clinical practice with research and innovation, advancing surgical solutions for sleep apnea and related disorders.
Clin, A/Prof. Dr. Toh Song Tar is a Senior Consultant and Director of the Sleep Disorders Unit in the Department of Otolaryngology, Singapore General Hospital, where he also serves as Chief of the Sleep Apnea Surgery Service and Deputy Head (Research). He trained in sleep medicine and sleep apnea surgery at Stanford University under a Ministry of Health HMDP scholarship and holds a Master of Medicine in sleep medicine from the University of Sydney. Dr. Toh is Southeast Asias most experienced surgeon in transoral robotic surgery (TORS) for obstructive sleep apnea, having performed the regions largest series. He has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals, authored book chapters, and serves as reviewer for leading sleep and ENT journals. An invited international speaker and course director, he also leads funded research into innovative surgical approaches. Dr. Toh is President of the Society of OtolaryngologyHead and Neck Surgery, Singapore.
