Supercritical Fluid Technology in Industry: Recent Advances and Challenges (2014-2024) offers new insights into the theoretical and industrial applications of multiple processes included in supercritical technology, combining a review of the established literature with recent advances in theory, current applications, and case studies to help promote a more sustainable research approach. The book outlines supercritical fluid technology and processes operated with substances at conditions above or near the critical point and enables readers to understand the basic steps of equipment and processing.

Other sections explain the different methods of using supercritical technology and applications and cover current developments that increase economic feasibility and reduce environmental impact. This will be a great guide for anyone looking to supercritical technology as a means of optimizing existing processes or designing new processes with sustainability in mind, including industry experts, researchers, academics, and students at graduate level and above.

Ádina L. Santana is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Grain Science and Industry Department in Kansas State University. Dr. Santana has more than 10 years of research on the processing of value-added substances with supercritical technology via extraction, fractionation, phase equilibria, particle formation, and chemical reactions to extend the valorisation of agroindustry wastes and the end use of crops. Her research interest also includes health and technological aspects of bioactive molecules for human nutrition.
