Ladislav Kovai is an orthopaedic trauma surgeon at Arbormea Artro Center in Ljubljana, an ESSKA-accredited teaching center specializing in articular injuries, sports traumatology, and arthroscopic surgery. His expertise focuses on shoulder girdle injuries and disorders. Trained at University Medical Centre Ljubljana, Slovenias leading trauma unit, he gained extensive experience in fracture treatment, arthroscopy, arthroplasty, and degenerative conditions, complemented by training with renowned international experts. Dr. Kovai has authored scientific publications, presented at international conferences, and co-edited several books on shoulder pathology. He serves as a reviewer for leading journals and actively teaches as an international faculty member. He organizes popular arthroscopic technique courses on anatomical specimens in Ljubljana and is a member of multiple international associations. From 2020 to 2022, he chaired ESA, the shoulder section of ESSKA.



Frank Martetschläger is a leading partner at the German Center for Shoulder Surgery (ATOS Clinic Munich), specializing in complex shoulder and elbow conditions. He previously served as a board-certified orthopaedics and trauma surgery specialist at the Technical University of Munich, where he was appointed Full Professor. His training includes a fellowship at the Steadman Clinic (USA) and the SECEC Asia Fellowship. Prof. Martetschläger has authored over 85 peer-reviewed publications, numerous book chapters, and edited three textbooks on shoulder surgery. He has trained more than 20 international fellows, advancing global education in the field. Recognized for over a decade as a top specialist in Germany by FOCUS and stern, he currently chairs the European Shoulder Society (ESA-ESSKA) and serves on the ESSKA Board-Council (20242026).



Dr. Geoffroy Nourissat is a shoulder surgeon in Paris, France where he has founded the Shoulder Clinics (Groupe Maussins). He is involved in education, teaching, host a shoulder residency program and published several book chapters and over 100 paper on index literature. He is member of French and international societies of shoulder surgery.  He is the current president of the SoFEC (French Shoulder and Elbow Surgery Society).



Dr. Nuno Sampaio Gomes is a Consultant at Hospital da Luz and Chief of Orthopaedics at the Military Hospital in Porto, Portugal, his hometown. After graduating at the University of Porto Medical School in 1996, he completed his general medical training at Hospital de S. João and in Macau, China, before joining the Portuguese Army and completing his residency in Orthopaedics at Hospital de Sto. António in Porto. He has been dedicated to shoulder surgery since the first years of his residency and has spent long periods as a clinical and research fellow in several medical centres in Portugal, Spain and various locations in France, including a SOFCOT award. He has long been involved in the promotion and education of shoulder surgery in Portugal and abroad, as a member of the boards of the Shoulder Sections of the Portuguese Orthopaedics Society and ESSKA he is currently Past Chairman of ESA -, with frequent participations in medical events and training courses. He has been awarded by medical societies and authored several peer-reviewed scientific articles and book chapters.
