Often used to express ideals of male and female beauty throughout the ages, nude artworks were particularly popular in ancient Greek art and during the Renaissance. This Tate calendar features a collection of paintings from artists including Sir John Everett Millais, Edgar Degas, Théodore Roussel and Auguste Renoir.
