This book provides practical case studies and perspectives on regional tectonic framework, seismic activity, disaster risk reduction, and resilience in Southeast Asia. The review chapters in this book cover the recent advance and long-term monitoring results in the Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, Myanmar, India, the Solomon Islands, and areas in the vicinity. Situated along the plate boundaries, countries in Southeast Asia share similar challenges to cope with multiple natural hazards. It also presents reviewing chapters regarding regional tectonics, magmatism, practical approaches of hazard mitigation, long-term monitoring of seismic risks, and strategies for decision making in Southeast Asia.
