Freddie was not on the guest list. But when the royal banquet promised splendour, sparkle, plippity-ploppity pea-green soup, and an awful lot of cake - he simply couldn't resist!

From the grand gardens to the banquet hall to the chandelier, Freddie's uninvited arrival causes utter mayhem. And when the lid lifts on the main course... chaos explodes! The groom faints, the bride catches him, duchesses flounder, cupcakes fly, top hats wobble, and a monstrous pink feather flutters out of control! And the Frog Prince? Well, he's about to make a truly unforgettable move... Can the royal catcher catch him? Can the Princess keep her cool? Or will the world's tiniest party-crasher steal the show?

A gloriously silly, royally rowdy romp - where the smallest guest makes the biggest buzz, and the ending delivers one spectacular twist from the most unexpected hero of all. The Uninvited Guest blends wit, wordplay, chaos, and delight in a story that will have children giggling and grown-ups grinning.
Dorothy Dowling is a whimsical children's author with a heart for storytelling and a deep love of the Australian outback and farm life. She is also an endorsed midwife practitioner, clinical nurse, and university lecturer who has spent years at the frontline of healthcare delivery and leading various health and education projects in remote and rural communities.

Her passion lies in early childhood development, midwifery, education and strengthening regional health workforces. She is equally dedicated to creating opportunities for people in remote and regional areas and those facing disadvantage to learn, study and thrive through equitable access to education.

Raised on a farm with a book-loving mother, a kind farmer father and five siblings, Dorothy grew up surrounded by stories, imagination and a deep appreciation for language. She is a wife and mother to a beautiful blended family, married to her best friend, advocate, and supporter. When she is not working in the outback, she retreats to a few acres where she is growing a small world of beauty, with gardens, trees and animals, a place that feeds her imagination and creative work.

Her storytelling is profoundly shaped by the loss of her beloved 17-year-old son, Alex, fondly known as Zoomie, who passed away in a tragic accident. She honours his memory and the laughter and love he gave so freely in the humour, heart and imagination woven through her stories.

For Dorothy, life and storytelling go hand in hand, capturing joy, resilience and the wonders of childhood. Whether making little ones giggle, sparking curiosity, exploring kindness or honouring the love and connection that binds families and people, her stories celebrate life in all its depth and delight.
