Educators, researchers, youth workers, and teaching artists describe projects using writing, photography, video, and theater to reach young people involved in the criminal justice system. Lalitha M. Vasudevan (PhD in Education from the University of Pennsylvania) is an Associate Professor at Teachers College, Columbia University in New York in the Communication, Computing, and Technology in Education Program. Her publications have appeared in Digital Culture and Education, Written Communication, Teachers College Record, and Review of Research in Education. She is co-editor of Media, Learning, and Sites of Possibility (Peter Lang, 2007). Tiffany A. DeJaynes received her EdD in Communication and Education at Teachers College, Columbia University in New York City, in the Communication, Computing, and Technology in Education Program. She teaches qualitative research at a public high school in Brooklyn and literacy research at The City College of the City University of New York.
