At the same time, today's teachers are busy and have little time for analyzing the classroom dynamics and developing long, involved behavior intervention plans. This book is written for teachers who need immediate support and practical ideas that work in their classrooms. It is designed to help teachers prevent as many of these misbehaviors as possible, but also help them respond effectively when the behaviors do happen-to support their efforts to teach other prosocial, positive behaviors students can learn instead. The Big Book of Behavior Management is divided into four parts. Part 1 provides a foundation for teachers and includes background matter, research-based support, and information related to pro-social skills and student behavior. Part 2 is about preventing misbehaviors and presents good practices for creating a positive learning environment. Part 3 discusses the authors' model and supporting research, and Part 4 presents the 50 interventions"--
