Depuis plusieurs décennies, les usages du numérique en histoire se multiplient. Mais lhistoire contemporaine est parfois restée à la marge de ce mouvement. Ce livre, qui recouvre divers usages du numérique, ses outils, ses méthodes, sera à la fois une bonne introduction pour les historiens désirant se renseigner sur les usages informatiques en histoire contemporaine, et un outil utile aux chercheurs et aux enseignants plus rompus à cette utilisation. Digital practices in the field of history have become more and more widespread in recent decades, but contemporary historians have often tended to remain on the sidelines of this trend. Docteur en histoire contemporaine, Frédéric Clavert a étudié les sciences politiques et lhistoire contemporaine à Strasbourg et à Leeds. Il travaille aujourdhui au Centre virtuel de la connaissance sur lEurope (Luxembourg), où il coordonne le Digital Humanities Lab. Serge Noiret est docteur en histoire contemporaine. Il travaille à lInstitut universitaire européen de Florence, où il étudie limpact du web et des nouveaux médias sur le métier dhistorien. Il est président de la Fédération internationale dhistoire publique (IFPH-FIHP). Frédéric Clavert studied political science and contemporary history in Strasbourg and Leeds and holds a PhD in contemporary history. He now works at the Virtual Centre for Knowledge about Europe (Luxembourg), where he coordinates the Digital Humanities Lab. Serge Noiret holds a PhD in contemporary history. He works at the European University Institute of Florence, where he studies the impact of the web and new media on the profession of the historian. He is President of the International Federation of Public History (IFPH-FIHP).
