This book examines targeted drug delivery systems covering molecular targeting mechanisms, nanotechnology-based carriers, and controlled release technologies. The analysis includes liposomes, dendrimers, polymer-based systems, and encapsulation techniques for enhanced bioavailability and reduced toxicity, and also includes:

  • Comprehensive examination of targeted drug delivery systems covering molecular targeting mechanisms, biological processes, and therapeutic strategy optimization
  • Analysis of advanced nanotechnology-based drug carriers including liposomes, dendrimers, and polymer-based delivery systems for precision medicine applications
  • Investigation of encapsulation materials and techniques for controlled drug release with emphasis on bioavailability enhancement and systemic toxicity reduction
  • Assessment of regulatory considerations and clinical trial methodologies for drug delivery system development and approval processes
  • Study of personalized medicine approaches through targeted delivery technologies and their impact on therapeutic outcomes

The case studies help demonstrate precision targeting strategies, therapeutic outcome improvements, and systematic approaches to drug formulation, making it an important reading for understanding modern pharmaceutical technologies and their role in advancing healthcare through targeted therapeutic interventions.

Navneet Sharma serves as Scientist of pharmaceutical chemistry, biomaterials, and contamination sciences. He holds an M. Pharm from JSS University, a Postgraduate Diploma in Drug Regulatory Affairs from Jamia Hamdard, and a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Delhi. His doctoral work at INMAS (DRDO) focused on developing topical formulations for chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) skin decontamination, incorporating toxicological assessments and cellular studies. Dr. Sharmas postdoctoral research at IIT Delhi led to the development of zinc titanate-based biodegradable materials for CBRN decontamination, integrating nanomaterials for improved efficacy and sustainability. Her research focuses on molecular modeling, drug-molecule interactions, and water remediation. She has published extensively, contributed to international collaborations, and holds multiple patents.
