Dr. K. Vijayakumar is a retired Professor in Department of Aerospace Engineering at Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, India. He has been selected for the 2017 Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. He was also honored by the Aerospace Engineering Department of IISc which presented him with the Platinum Jubilee Distinguished Service Award. Dr. Girish Kumar Ramaiah is a retired professor of Mechanical Engineering and Registrar (Academic), M.S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology, India. He pursued his Ph.D. degree from the Indian Institute of Science, India. He has been awarded with the Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship at TH Darmstadt, and Leverhulme American/Commonwealth Fellowship at Queens University, Belfast. His areas of interest lie in structural mechanics (statics and dynamics), elastic stability, and mathematical methods for analysis.
