This book examines the interplay between IT solutions and specific management methods in organizations. In particular, it assesses the impact of IT reliability on factors like employees’ commitment and organizational performance. After developing the necessary theoretical foundation, the book presents a framework for aligning IT solutions with a number of specific management methods in organizations. In addition, it demonstrates the extent to which IT reliability can be an indicator for this alignment, and discusses the impact on employees’ commitment and organizational performance under various management methods. Case studies from organizations in Switzerland and Poland help to illustrate the findings. Katarzyna Tworek Ph.D. works as an assistant professor at Wrocaw University of Science and Technology, in the Department of Organizational Management and Development. Her Ph.D. examined the influence of information technology on organizational structure. Currently she is working on the model of of IT reliability in organization, examining its potential for evaluation of IT business alignment.
