The activities in this book are based on a set of development stages for ages 0-5 established by the Early Years Foundation of the UK, which has named six aspects of personal, social, and emotional development: dispositions and attitudes, self-confidence and self-esteem, making relationships, behavior and self-control, self-care, and sense of community. The 100 activities to be used by preschool teachers and others working with young children are organized by age group and address different combinations of the qualities mentioned above. The appropriate group size for each activity is noted. Annotation ©2009 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
