Adsorption: Theoretical Aspects and Environmental Applications offers an in-depth yet accessible exploration of adsorption processes, from fundamental theories to practical applications in environmental management and pollution control. Featuring coverage of equilibrium, kinetics, thermodynamics, and fixed-bed dynamics, the book integrates two decades of experimental research and adds coverage on multielement adsorption systems, common data analysis errors, and nonlinear isotherm modelling. Designed for undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as industry practitioners, this book serves as a vital resource for mastering adsorption techniques, optimizing experimental methodologies, and advancing sustainable solutions for wastewater treatment and environmental challenges.

  • Includes end-of-chapter problems and a solutions manual, helping students to develop skills to model, analyze, and design systems involving adsorption.
  • Explores key topics including adsorption equilibrium, kinetics, thermodynamics, and fixed-bed adsorption, with the latest content on multielement systems and mass transfer dynamics.
  • Includes numerous case studies that cover a variety of areas, such as water treatment, carbon capture, air emissions control and environmental remediation, providing a comprehensive understanding.
