This volume includes eight chapters that detail advances in engineering research. Chapter 1 presents a detailed review of recent advancements in two critical areas of electric vehicle battery management: (1) battery modeling methodologies that emphasize model accuracy, parameter identification, computational efficiency, and suitability for real-time implementation in Battery Management Systems (BMS); and (2) active cell balancing strategies focused on extending battery cycle life, mitigating capacity fade, enhancing safety, and minimizing cell-to-cell state disparities, while discussing the main characteristics and functions of BMS. Chapter 2 investigates advanced AI methods, including stacking regression and deep learning, particularly Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) networks, to predict VRU trajectories accurately and assess collision probabilities. Chapter 3 presents the problems linked to urban mobility and then proposes an optimization that uses Eco-driving to reduce emissions throughout public transport routes. Chapter 4 introduces an embedded code using the software R as an appropriate tool for studying helicopter dynamics. In Chapter 5, the geometric design of a microcantilever beam biosensor using SiO2 material has been optimized to detect low-density lipoprotein (LDL) molecules in human blood. Chapter 6 addresses the increasingly needed countermeasures against deepfakes as they continue to be more complex and demonstrates a potential way to minimize the negative impact of deepfakes and guarantee trustworthiness of information in the digital world by fostering technological progress, government regulation, and public education. Chapter 7 discusses the different types of sensors for many applications like temperature, pressure, gas, strain, and more. Finally, Chapter 8 proposes an AI-powered approach for preservation of privacy in the Cloud-IoT environment. The proposed system will dynamically check and compare user data. The isolation of public data and private data will be the focus of this proposed approach.
