Arvustused

inspiring * Antrim Guardian * sixth title in the rapidly-expanding Great Irish Sports Stars series from the OBrien Press, following on from biographies of Cora Staunton, Colm Gooch Cooper, Sonia OSullivan, Shay Given, and Jason Sherlock McFerrans sporting success is the stuff of dreams. Author David Caren, a Dubliner now living in Cork, narrates her story in his first venture into childrens books, appealing both to sports fans and those who wouldnt know their back sticks from their skorts. With a brief introduction to hockey terms and rules, this is, like the rest of the Great Irish Sports Stars series, a story to entertain and inspire readers aged nine-plus * Evening Echo * this inspiring story of one young woman who went on to be one of the best hockey goalkeepers in the world is a reminder that even in the face of immense adversity, resilience and hope will triumph. A real treat for Irish sports fans of all ages; recommended for eight years old and up * Irish Examiner * the series is great to shed a light on some of the biggest names in their field * Belfast Telegraph * Written in accessible, easy to read prose, it is ideal for young sports fans -- Irish Independent inspirational -- Sunday Independent I would give this book a 10/10 because it tells you that you can do anything and to never give up! By Lainey (age 9), Scoil Mhuire, Barntown, Co. Wexford -- Seomra Ranga
