Rather than trying to keep up with the ever-changing technology, digital library practitioners, most from Cornell University but also as far west as Minnesota, focus on human and organizational aspects of creating and running a digital library in an academic environment. They discuss organizational culture; managing collections and people; and the people who build and manage systems, conduct and evaluate projects, and scout new directions. Among the nine specific topics are mainstreaming, investing in staff, teams and teamwork, information technology services, project management and implementation, and input and feedback from digital library users.
