E-raamat: The constant

In the novel "The Constant" by John Buchan, exciting events are narrated that take us into the midst of World War I, where General Richard Hannay is summoned from the battle fronts for a secret mission that will change the course of the war. Hannay is forced to immerse himself in a community of war opponents, where a spy is suspected of infiltrating them under an assumed identity. Events escalate as he embarks on a mad journey through the villages of England, the islands of Scotland and then the Alps, in a race against time to catch the most dangerous man in Europe and thwart his destructive plans. Can Hannay succeed in his endeavor, or will his efforts be in vain? This novel carries within it excitement and suspense, and reveals the struggles of loyalty and betrayal in times of war.
