This book presents a pioneering analysis of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) as a strategic tool for environmental sustainability across the global energy sector, offering a governance framework applicable to both traditional and renewable resource contexts. It introduces a multi-stakeholder governance framework that bridges global CSR standards with local implementation challenges. Through case studies and regulatory analysis, the book highlights how policy design influences environmental outcomes and proposes the creation of a CSR Commission to enhance accountability and transparency. Addressing gaps in enforcement and stakeholder collaboration, it offers actionable solutions for sustainable development. The book is essential reading for policymakers, corporate leaders, environmental advocates, and academics seeking to align CSR with climate justice and regulatory innovation in developing economies.
