Arvustused

This book provides a timely contribution for events to consider how they anticipate and adapt to crises, offering a mirror to ask: Is my event resilient enough? In an age where shocks are part and parcel of this dynamic industry, threatening long term sustainability, this accessible resource provides a useful guide for all types of events. * Michael Duignan, Founder and CEO, Centre for Events and Festivals and Professeur des universités, Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, France * In this all-encompassing guide to crisis management in events, crisis management is not explored as an independent field but as something that has to be embedded within wider frameworks. Covering key issues, strategies and principles, it will help students and industry professionals to understand the importance of nurturing resilience, sustainability and effective communications in the events sector. * Andrew Smith, University of Westminster, UK * Understanding and enacting effective Crisis Management and building resilience is critical to any festival and event in the 21st century. This textbook delivers excellent insights into this important topic through clear theoretical input, engaging discussion questions and highly topical and relevant case studies revealing how both high profile as well as community-based festivals and events are impacted when things don't go to plan! A welcome addition to this vital area of festival management! * Jane Ali-Knight, Edinburgh Napier University, UK *
