It is no exaggeration to say that the best book published in this era on the discovery of civilizations and Egyptology is *The Dawn of Conscience*, written by Professor Breasted in 1934. Breasted argues that Egypt is the origin and cradle of world civilization. Indeed, it was in Egypt that humans first felt the call of conscience, and thus the human conscience was nurtured and developed, and morality was formed.
