This book examines advanced processing methodologies and innovative technologies for converting agricultural wastes and biomass into highly efficient biosorbent and adsorbent materials designed for environmental hazard remediation through cutting-edge and emerging technological approaches. Additionally, the book delivers comprehensive data regarding biosorbent and adsorbent material performance against diverse chemical contaminants including synthetic dyes and heavy metals. Furthermore, it thoroughly analyzes future prospects, contemporary developments and commercial potential of biosorbent technologies.

Features:

  • Focusses on use of agricultural waste and biomasses for development of adsorbent materials.
  • Gives updated information about the novel and emerging technologies for biosorbent preparation.
  • Contains comprehensive information about the adsorption models.
  • Highlights reduced use of toxic chemicals for biosorbent materials preparation.
  • Fills the gap of environmental sustainability concept in development of adsorbent materials.

This book is aimed at graduate students and researchers in agro-industrial, bioprocessing, environmental and agriculture engineering.
