Alle Christinnen und Christen in Deutschland sind von einer Situation kirchlicher "Diaspora" ("Zerstreuung") betroffen, sei es als Mitglied einer Kirche in einer Minderheitensituation, sei es in der Situation des mehrheitskirchlichen GegenĆ¼bers, mit zahlreichen Schattierungen zwischen diesen Extremen. Sie stehen in ihrem Miteinander, im GegenĆ¼ber zu anderen Religionen und im GegenĆ¼ber zur "Welt" vor Herausforderungen, doch erƶffnen sich ihnen auch Chancen, ihren Diaspora-Bezug fĆ¼r die ƶkumenische, kulturelle und zivilgesellschaftliche Entwicklung in Deutschland fruchtbar zu machen.Die neue Studie des Deutschen Ć–kumenischen Studienausschusses (DĆ–STA) zielt darauf, die plurale kirchliche Situation in Deutschland aus der Perspektive der multilateralen Ć–kumene differenziert zu beschreiben, theologisch zu analysieren, unter den Leitkategorien "Diaspora und Sendung" zu deuten und konkrete Handlungsoptionen fĆ¼r die Kirchen und Gemeinden daraus abzuleiten.[ Diaspora and Mission. Experience and Mandate of Christian Churches in Plural Germany]All Christians in Germany are in some or other way affected by a situation of dispersion ("diaspora"), whether as a member of a church in a minority situation, or as member of one of the majority churches as counterpart of the "Diaspora"-churches. They are on the one hand facing challenges concerning both their coexistence as minorities/majority and their common relations to other religions and the "world", i. e. society in general. On the other hand there are also opportunities to discover which could make the "diaspora"-complex a catalyst for ecumenical, cultural and social developments in Germany.The new study by the Faith and Order Commission of the German Council of Churches (DĆ–STA) takes multilateral ecumenism as a point of departure to describe the plural ecclesiastical situation in Germany, to analyse it theologically, to interpret it with respect to the categories "diaspora and mission", and to advance possible courses of action for the Churches and parishes.
