This practical book was developed from the fourth edition of Clinical Effectiveness and Clinical Governance Made Easy, providing a guide to the topic. In its second edition, this title has been revised, updated, and expanded throughout, describing implementation of clinical governance through the practical application of various components of a quality midwife service. The book is organized by stages: asking the right question, undertaking a literary search, framing questions and searching for evidence, appraising the evidence, and applying the evidence. The final chapters discuss what clinical governance means and how to put it into practice, with a focus on revalidation, and a self-evaluation. Appendices include lists of organizations, useful websites, and further reading. Annotation ©2008 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
