The term 'health' covers physical, social, mental, emotional, and environmental health. Good health helps us to lead a peaceful and happy life. Human health is a fundamental right which is closely linked to the functions and lifestyles of the people in the urban and peri-urban areas. This book addresses the situation of COVID-19 and its implications for other health issues, providing the solutions to science and society which can be applied for sustainable policy and decision making. It shows that we must enhance adaptive capacity, strengthen resilience, reduce vulnerability, and take risk mitigation measures which need a systematic approach based on the science- policy interface that is transformative for a sustainable future. This book offers a valuable guide for planners, policy makers, practitioners, scientists, the academic community and civil society organizations, as well as anyone concerned about sustainable health and wellbeing.
