The development of advanced 2D materials beyond graphene presents a paradigm shift in energy research, offering unprecedented opportunities to revolutionize energy storage, conversion, and efficiency technologies. However, despite significant progress, there remains a need for a consolidated resource that integrates the latest research findings, technological advancements, and future prospects of these materials. Graphene and Beyond: Advanced 2D Materials for Energy Applications addresses this gap by providing a thorough exploration of the synthesis, properties, and applications of advanced 2D materials, making it an essential resource for academics, industry professionals, and policymakers aiming to harness the full potential of these materials for sustainable energy solutions.

• Explores the forefront of research and development in 2D materials beyond graphene, focusing on their applications in energy technologies.

• Delves into the synthesis, characterization, properties, and applications of advanced 2D materials such as transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs), black phosphorus, MXenes, and beyond.

• Covers their unique electronic, optical, mechanical, and thermal properties that make them promising candidates for energy storage, conversion, and efficiency enhancement.

• Examines synthesis methods and scalability of advanced 2D materials, characterization techniques, and tools for studying their properties,

• Discusses energy devices and their challenges in commercialization.

This handbook is intended for researchers, engineers, and graduate students in materials science, chemistry, physics, and engineering disciplines interested in the cutting-edge applications of 2D materials in energy. It serves as a comprehensive reference for understanding the current state-of-the-art, challenges, and future directions in this rapidly evolving field.
