Kessler, an educator, writer, and gifted specialist, offers 38 hands-on learning experiences in ecology for students in grades two and three. The activities engage students in STEM skills and relate to ecosystems, populations, the human impact on the environment, conservation, and creating a wildlife garden. Each activity details the subjects and skills covered, its rationale, the materials needed, key vocabulary, preparation, and procedures, and include handouts.
