Art teacher Radha lives in an 18th century house of stone with her cousins, Veena and Lata, and her eternally critical mother, Swati. Though it's full of charm with its statues and garden full of roses, it harbors a dark secret: the house eats the souls of anyone it deems unworthy. To satisfy the house's appetite, Radha and her friends invite criminals who evade laws. Without enough souls, the house crumbles piece by piece. When their house starts crumbling after a lack of souls, Radha runs into Andrew, a marine biologist trying to make a new life. As they spend time with each other, she grows more attracted to him. Unfortunately, the house deems his soul worthy to eat upon learning a dark secret about him: he didn t pay for a crime he committed forty years ago.
