Paulo Mendonça is currently Associate Professor of the Architecture, Arts and Design School of the University of Minho (EAAD, previously designated as EAUM), Coordinator of the Design and Technology Research Group (2015-2018), Dean of EAUM (2011-2012) and Vice-Dean of EAUM (2010-2011), Integrated Master Studies Director (2007-2009), Architecture Graduation Director (2005-2006). His research interests involves Sustainable construction, Innovative construction materials, Architectural membranes, Building functional rehabilitation, etc. As a Ph.D. fellowship of FCT (Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology) in the Civil Engineering Department of the University of Minho and ETSAB (Barcelona) he obtained the Doctor Degree with a thesis titled Living under a Second Skin (2005). He was JNICT (former designation of FCT) fellowship student in the Textile Engineer Department of the University of Minho, where he obtained the MSc Degree in Design and Marketing with a thesis about Smart Textiles in Architecture (1997). He is graduated in Architecture from University of Porto Faculty of Architecture (1994).

Wang Yupeng, Ph.D./Professor, obtained his Ph.D. Environmental Engineering (2012) from the University of Kitakyushu, Japan. Then he joined the Heat Island Group at the Concordia University, Canada, funded by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Council of Canada. Prof. Wang worked as Urban Planner in NIKKEN SEKKEI, the largest architecture and planning firm in Japan, which has many international projects. After joining into Xi'an Jiaotong University, he was awarded the Shaanxi Hundred Youth Talent Program in 2017 and AIUE-O Prize from Asia Institute of Urban Environment in 2019. His research experiences includes sustainable urban planning design, urban environmental modeling and evaluation, urban thermal comfort, and urban heat island reduction. Up to now, he is leading two research projects funded by National Natural Science Foundation of China. He has published 17 SCI papers, and 13 of them were published as a first/corresponding author.
