It is a complementary study to International Maritime Organisation, now recognised as a standard work on this UN agency. Among the subjects covered in Part 1 are: reporting and investigation of accidents; accidents caused by collision; civil and criminal liability; accidents caused by non-marking wrecks. Part 2 deals with the consequences of accidents and contains a considerable body of law and regulations on oil and chemical pollution, salvage and personal injury
