Die evangelische Sozialethik befindet sich in einer Umbruchsituation: Eine Vielzahl alter und neuer Themen fordert zur Urteilsbildung heraus, der Bedarf an ethisch unterrichteter Beratung in der Ć–ffentlichkeit ist hoch, in UniversitƤten wird Wissenstransfer zu einer Kernkompetenz neben Lehre und Forschung. Auch in den Medien ist ethische Expertise gefragt, wobei seltener auf die Stimmen theologischer Ethik gehƶrt wird, nicht zuletzt weil der Einfluss der Kirchen zurĆ¼ckgeht. Vor diesem Hintergrund unternimmt der vorliegende Band den Versuch einer Standortbestimmung, indem ausgehend von historischen Traditionslinien nach Bedeutung und Rolle evangelischer Sozialethik gefragt wird und exemplarisch inhaltliche Themen erƶrtert werden.[ Protestant Social Ethics. Ethical expertise is also in demand in the media, although the voices of theological ethics are rarely listened to, not least because the influence of the churches is decreasing. Against this background, this volume attempts to describe the current position by asking about the significance and role of Protestant social ethics based on historical lines of tradition and discussing exemplary themes.
