Lea goes to school is based on the successful Ben goes to school book and Ben-series by Zuléka Smit; and will especially appeal to young girls. These lovely books are illustrated by the talented Johann Strauss and adorable little Lea will immediately find a place in everyones heart. This is the first book in the new Lea series and focuses on Lea; who; like her brother Ben; also now has to go to school. Lea dislikes school so much that her tummy hurts. No one at school wants to play with her. But then Teacher announces an art competition... maybe therell be friends who also like to draw just like Lea? Zuléka Smits beautiful story about the uncertainty surrounding going to school is based on her many years of experiences in the education world as well those with her own children.
Zuléka Smit is a teacher and motivational speaker with a love for life and a passion for young people and writing. Born in Kroonstad but completing her matric at High School Albertina; Zuléka attained her B.Ed teaching degree cum laude from the Cape Peninsula University of TechnologyWellington Campus. She kicked off her career at Paarl Boys Primary School where; for the past 15 years; she has committed her life to preparing little people for life and laying strong foundations in their lives. She is also currently a matron at a high school where she further lives out her passion for the education and leadership of young people. Zuléka is a family person and is married to Johan. They have two beautiful kids; Karli and Heini. She is the author of Ben gaan skool toe (2022); Ben en die groot toets (2023) and Ben en die boelies (2024).
