This book discusses the experience with LEENs for EMSs in the industrial and service sectors in Latin America, with a focus on Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador, El Salvador, Colombia, and Nicaragua.

Industrial and service energy efficiency has become one of the most important strategies for energy transition. Nevertheless, the promotion of energy efficiency in these sectors remains difficult in many cases and requires governmental intervention, policies, and strategies, such as the Learning Energy Efficiency Networks (LEENs) for Energy Management Systems (EMSs), developed in the late 1980s by Switzerland and adopted by several countries.

This book discusses the experience with LEENs for EMSs in the industrial and service sectors in Latin America. It highlights the relevance and role of enabling conditions and key stakeholders to gather the main contribution of LEENs; as well as the key challenges. The lessons learned in these Latin American countries can be of great interest to other developing countries, particularly for public policies.

Arvustused

This book represents a vital contribution to the study of energy transition, offering a detailed and well-substantiated analysis of learning energy efficiency networks in Latin America. The editors successfully translate complex policy instruments into practical and actionable lessons for the industrial and service sectors in developmental contexts. The book is an exceptional guide for those seeking to implement sustainable energy management in emerging economies.

Dr Jose Luis Larregola Ferrer

I highly value the rigorous and insightful work developed by Claudio Carpio and Marina Recalde on Learning Energy Efficiency Networks in Latin America. Through clear analysis, compelling case studies, and practical lessons, the authors demonstrate how collaborative learning and organizational change can drive lasting improvements in energy management culture. This book is an essential and inspiring reference for professionals and public institutions committed to learning networks and the energy transition.
