These proceedings of the tenth annual conference in Budapest in 2012 include various methods for collecting and describing words of an individual language for communication. After a section of general reflections, including entries on lexicology and technology in the Renaissance and now, what truly electronic dictionaries of the twenty-first century should look like, and a Dutch "recipe" for the production of bilingual dictionaries, there are reports on different countries' efforts. These include entries from Germany, England (the Oxford English Dictionary), Ireland (the new English-Irish dictionary), Polish (two leading projects of the present-day lexicography), Iceland, Sweden (dictionaries in twenty-two minority languages), Estonia, and Lithuania. Reports that follow on special projects include one on the Civil Society Platform on Multilingualism and another on an extended study of the MEA-NET Strategic Research Agenda for Multilingual Europe, 2020.
