Mit Hilfe der Analyse konzeptueller Metonymien, einer Methodik aus der Kognitiven Linguistik, wird u.a. folgenden Fragen nachgegangen: Verbirgt sich hinter nAefAes eine Seelenvorstellung? Ist die synthetische Korperauffassung, d. h. das enge Zusammendenken von Korperteil und Funktion, wirklich eine semitische Besonderheit? Was bedeutet es, wenn der Mensch sich als nAefAes bezeichnet, statt ein anderes Korperteil/Organ zur Selbstbezeichnung zu wahlen?
