This biographical overview of the work of Lon Chaney, Jr. (1906-1973) focuses primarily on his film career as a leading actor in horror movies of the 1940s and 50s, but also provides discussion of his work in westerns and on television. The paperbound edition of a 1995 work, the volume is somewhat marred by the poor reproduction of the photographs. Annotation ©2004 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
