Mosaic for Windows is an informative book on how to use the most popular Internet navigation tool ever developed. By focussing on the PC Windows version of Mosaic (NCSA, MR Mosaic and Spyglass), including Web browsers like Netscape, WinWeb and WebSurfer, this book will provide an easy-to-follow guide to using a PC and Mosaic to browse, collect and discover information and resources across the entire electronic world.
The author begins by presenting a down-to-earth guide to installing and setting up Mosaic for Windows (as well as alternate Web browsers like Netscape) and comparative description of the different browsers' interfaces. Subsequent chapters detail configuring sound, picture and video viewers for use with Mosaic, how to find an Internet access provider (and what to look for) and modems and ISDN equipment for connecting to the Internet.
