The culmination of extensive research and collaboration, this new volume provides a comprehensive overview of the latest developments and applications of nanocomposites in the biomedical field, exploring the rapid advancement in nanotechnology and its profound impact on biomedical research and drug delivery systems. The volume highlights the unique properties and versatile applications of nanocomposites that have the potential to revolutionize various aspects of healthcare, from diagnostics to treatment.

The book first provides an introduction and discusses the mechanisms of various nanocomposites, highlighting their advantages and disadvantages. It explores the different types of nanocomposites used in biomedical applications and the methods used in their preparation. Special emphasis is placed on drug delivery systems, showcasing how nanocomposites can enhance the efficacy and precision of therapeutic interventions. One of the key areas the book addresses is the use of nanocomposites from recycled waste materials and their innovative applications in the biomedical field. This discussion includes the roles and applications of biodegradable versus nondegradable nanocomposites, providing insight into their environmental impact and sustainability. This book also covers the applications of nanocomposites in pharmaceutical medicines and biotechnological products, reflecting on their potential to improve patient outcomes. In light of growing environmental concerns, the volume also examines the impact of nanocomposites on pollutants prone to the ecosystem and human health.

Also covered are applications of nanocomposites for various diseases and cancer treatment, illustrating their role in advancing medical therapies. The book touches on the cutting-edge applications of nanocomposites for 3D and 4D printing of nanomaterials, which open new frontiers in personalized medicine and tissue engineering. In addition to these biomedical applications, the book discusses the biomedical uses of various herbal nanocomposites and their potential for enhancing traditional medicine. The applications of nanocomposites in antimicrobial activity, tissue engineering, biosensors, and dental care are thoroughly examined, highlighting their multifaceted benefits.

Finally, the book concludes with an overview of the regulatory guidelines for nanocomposites in India, the US, and other countries, providing a global perspective on the regulatory landscape. Combining knowledge from different fields, such as chemistry, materials science, biology, and medicine, this volume is a comprehensive resource for researchers, students, and healthcare professionals interested in exploring the transformative power of nanocomposites in biomedical research and drug delivery systems.
