This book explores the revolutionary impact of nanomaterials in energy storage, medicine, environmental remediation, and materials science. It highlights the potential of diverse materials, from sodium-ion battery cathodes to plant-derived silver nanoparticles for water remediation. The book also examines nanotechnology's role in enhancing animal nutrition, advancing mesoporous silica nanoparticles for drug delivery, and integrating industrial waste like fly ash into polyurethane for sustainability. The study of metal oxide nanowires for optoelectronics further illustrates nanomaterials' transformative power. Through innovative synthesis and characterization, the book presents nanotechnology as a key driver of sustainable development, offering valuable insights for researchers, professionals, and students in materials science, environmental sciences, and nanotechnology.
Jasvir Dalal is Assistant Professor (Physics) at Rajdhani College, University of Delhi, New Delhi, India. He completed his Master of Science and doctorate degree at Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak, India. His current research interests focus on the synthesis and characterization of conducting polymers, graphene, and metal oxide-based advanced nanomaterials, with potential applications in electromagnetic shielding and photocatalysis for environmental remediation.Dr Gupta, also an Assistant Professor at Rajdhani College, completed her PhD in Physics at the University of Delhi, with research on atmospheric dynamics and environmental impacts. Dr Korpal, another Assistant Professor, holds a PhD from Dr B. R. Ambedkar University, India, with expertise in condensed matter physics and crystal studies. Dr Thakur, Assistant Professor, completed his PhD at the National Physical Laboratory, Delhi, India, followed by postdoctoral work at Indian Institutes of Technology, India, and Dongguk University, South Korea, with significant contributions to physics and material science.
