Nature-based Solutions for Remediation of Emerging Pollutants in Wastewater presents a comprehensive overview of sustainable approaches towards tackling one of the most pressing environmental challenges we face currently.

Nature-based Solutions for Remediation of Emerging Pollutants in Wastewater presents a comprehensive overview of sustainable approaches towards tackling one of the most pressing environmental challenges we face currently. Covering innovative strategies such as phytoremediation, biochar applications, constructed wetlands, algal-bacterial systems, biofiltration, and enzyme-based technologies, this volume highlights the potential of eco-friendly methods to remove pharmaceutical residues, heavy metals, microplastics, and other emerging contaminants. Drawing on case studies, recent research, and expert insights, the book bridges science and practice to demonstrate how nature-based solutions can advance wastewater treatment, safeguard ecosystems, and support a circular bioeconomy for a resilient and sustainable future.
