"Novel Drug Delivery Systems in Management of Chronic Diseases covers recent trends of NDDS in context with the most frequently occurring chronic diseases. The book details recent developments in research on drug delivery systems and addresses many problems arising as a result of conventional approaches. The volume covers the fundamental aspects of chronic diseases in conjunction with NDDS, where the authors have detailed the usefulness of NDDS in the management of chronic diseases and outlined the different materials that can help prepare NDDS with desired properties. Chapters also look at NDDS applications for central nervous system (CNS) diseases, including Alzheimer's and Parkinson's. The book goes on to address NDDS with HIV and cancer, two fatal diseases, covering recent trends to target these two major diseases. Chapters provide detailed information on the usefulness of NDDS in diabetes, asthma and respiratory complications, and diabetic retinopathy. Chapters also look at the use of NDDS in herbaldrug delivery, the involvement of artificial intelligence in development of NDDS, and more. This new volume provides an informative overview of the current scope of NDDS for chronic diseases as well as its future development, including how artificial intelligence can be used in novel formulations. The book will prove useful for research scholars and researchers"--
