Biswajit Mukherjee, Ph.D., W.B.C.S., F.I.C., F.I.C.S., is Professor and former Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology, Jadavpur University, Kolkata, and a former faculty member of the University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Panjab University, Chandigarh. He was a DAAD (German Academic Exchange Services) Fellow and Guest Scientist, German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ), Heidelberg. He has been working on cancer biology and chemoprevention with Antisense Technology, nanomedicine, and targeted drug delivery with Pharmacokinetic and Pharmacodynamic approaches. He is the former Coordinator of QIP (Quality Improvement Program, All India Council of Technical Education, Govt. of India) Nodal Cell (Pharmacy). He is also the Coordinator of the Center for Advanced Research in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Jadavpur University. He was the recipient of the University Grants Commission (UGC) (Government of India) research award in 2009. He received the prestigious CJ Shioo research award in 2016 from the Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India. Recently he authored a book entitled "Pharmacokinetics: Basics to Applications" and edited a book titled "Nanotherapeutics for the Treatment of Hepatocellular Carcinoma."
