This specialized book will provide physiatrists and rehabilitation specialists with a practical guide to applying functional anatomy principles in spinal cord injury rehabilitation. The book will focus on anatomy that matters clinically, interpreting symptoms, limitations, and recovery patterns based on detailed anatomical characteristics, with a particular focus on spinal cord injury rehabilitation.

Key topics will include essential functional neuroanatomy of the spinal cord, musculoskeletal anatomy integrated with biomechanics and kinesiology, functional anatomy applied to bowel/bladder dysfunction, respiratory dysfunction, dysphagia, and extremity limitations after spinal cord injury. Featuring a clinical focus, original illustrations, key concept callouts, and perspectives from an expert clinician-educator, this book will enable readers to translate anatomical knowledge directly into improved rehabilitation strategies and outcomes. It fills the need for a practical functional anatomy resource tailored specifically to spinal cord injury rehabilitation for physiatrists and rehabilitation professionals.
