This book based on the authors research within the field of crystallization principles over the last two decades, combined with relevant practice, which aims to provide a systematic and comprehensive review for academics in materials science and engineering. This book also acts as reference book for college students and engineering technicians in related majors. This book systematically introduces the metal crystallization principles related to the liquid-solid process, plastic deformation process, and film preparation process of metals and alloys.

Chapter 2 Crystal growth.
Chapter 3
Morphology of crystal growth.
Chapter 4 Crystallization process of
multiphase alloys.
Chapter 5 Directional Solidification and Single Crystal
Preparation.
Chapter 6 Rapid Solidification and Non-equilibrium
Crystallization.
Chapter 7 Crystal growth of metal solidification in
electromagnetic field
Chapter 8 Recrystallization and crystal growth of
metals and alloys.
Chapter 9 Crystal growth in thin film preparation.
Wang Qudong, PhD, professor, working at School of Materials Science and Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University since 1997. His research area is light alloys and their forming technology, layered metal composites, materials fabrication and processing for a long time. Since 2002, he has lectured on the Principle of Crystallization, Casting Alloys and Processing Control and other courses to postgraduate students every year. He has published more than 460 papers, 7 books and obtained 85 authorized patents.

Nannan Zhang, Ph.D., graduated from RWTH Aachen University in Germany. She is working at Shanghai Technical Institute of Electronics and Information. Her research field is the solidification and processing of metal materials. She has published 15 articles and co-edited the Chinese version of Principles of Metal Crystallization.
